Thing #21
Making the video was really fun with the remix and adding the music and was really easy to use but I still don't know if the video is on the blog because that is where I was really having a problem. I could not find a special code to put it on here so I tried cut and past. Hope it works!!! It really is cute.
Finally Done!!!!
I have really enjoyed these things because I have found so many useful tools that will help in all aspects of teaching and also at home for personal reasons. There are many ways to spice up lessons and activities for students and make the lessons not only educational but fun. I really think that these things and learning how to use them will be very helpful in years to come when planning lessons and I am signed up with many of the sites and will be receiving updates when available. There were several out-comes that suprised me that I could really do that with the logos.
Thing #23
I could use creative commons and as future teacher to re-work objects or activites to create activites for my students. Updating different things every year to spice up the lesson or making I better keeps a students interest and a way to imporve the teaching methods I may use.
Thing #21
I looked at Tracy B's first garde podcast, i foud that the podcast wiki program off the content was easier to use, and closer to my content on 3rd grade. This thing has inspired me to create a podcast for my students to see how they would learn in this point of learning. I didn't really find anything interesting for me to subscribe to and listen to regularly.
Thing #20
I like everything about You tube. The video that i choose to look at was "We ODon't Need No Education" by Pink Flyod. I liked this one because it is a good attention grabber in a lesson. I did dind that using this kind of site is helpful to attract people to the library website, and help them achieve more.

I am a member of some online communities. These soical networks are some what appealing to me. Some of the other networks are not appealing to me. I found the food section, and the education section interesting to me, and i would use them later on in life.

http://www.myspace.com/blondbitch69 (my url was made bey a friend without my permission and i cant figure out how to change it)
It is important for a teacher to know how to use social networking like myspace or facebook beacuse these sites are a direct reflection of students, and to see how they really think, and to know their interests. It is also important that we know how to use these site, so we can keep in touch of other teachers as well. I gained the insites of how to navigate them, and to me using these sites help me keep up with my friends from middle and high school. I really like these types of sites because they allow you to meet people like you and just keep up with you friends and family. I think to myself and believe that the picture area is one of the most important pictures because it shows people who you really are. I don't really see a classroom using these kinds of sites. These sites are more less used to communicate with friends, and not school work or activities.

I chose the google home page because of how simple that it is to add widgets and things that appeals to my interest and likes especially the funny cat photos and that you can change it any time with no extra hassel. I will probably make it my home page eventually.
On line calenders will be very helpful to me because I can add alerts and reminders on certian dates and everytime I am online it will remind me of my schedule for that day.
I really like the to-do list because to me it will help me organize my day and remind me when I have things that need to be done, pay bills, dr. appointments, etc...
I found several tools that are useful at home and school. Some of those including calender, to-do list and for me the maps. In the school setting the calender, to-do list and upcoming events and news channels
I would reccomend the calender, to-do list and the funny cat pictures to brighten a persons day to others.

I thought that this tool was interesting and un to lay with. It gives teachers new ways to organize data in the schools. I can see the potential of this activity inside the classrooms and teachers using them. I also can see that it is an easy access to create bookmarks o access from anywhere. Teachers can take advantage to the bookmarking by marking thing on the internet that can be used in the class, and it would go to that site easier instead of searching through all sorts of sites for it again.
Thing #15
I would use wiki for some research, and explaning to my students that wiki isn't a scholarable source to use for research, because anybody can get on it and change, edit, or place false information. I just find if really ineresting that people can play on it, and just messed up that most people that place false information and that to me just messes up a childs research.
Thing #14
While playing with the two different charts, i found out that i like the gliffy site better. Both have some of the same characteristics, but things like the floor plan, images, and choosing the pattern on gliffy, i just seem to like better.
Thing #13
Zoho writer has alot of neat characteristics. The actual organization of the document is exactly like microsoft word, but has thing connected to the internet. It has objects like publish, and export. This makes the steps of emailing a document to yourself from one computer to another. It was awesome to play along with.

Thing #9

In my experience with custom sign generator I tried several different projects. Some I found easier than others. I kept having problems with their server so it took me a lot longer than it should have. I tried the glitter signs, logo's, comic strip and writing on pictures. These could be very fun projects for any person or any group of students. I generated a logo for my project. My project consisted of picking out the template and choosing the colors that I wanted. I then typed my text and chose the font and letter spacing. Then all you had to do is save it and post it onto here. Here is a picture of it.
Thing #12
The 2 google tools that I explored were Igoogle and the calender. I am familiar with several of them but I really enjoyed the Igoogle because that is something new for me. I loved how you could pick your catagories and add a clock and several other gadgets to the webpage. I picked the calender because anyone could really use that not only to remind a teacher that it is test day but she/he could also use it in for personal information and used with the alerts could be very helpful.
Thing #11
I searched out Topix and the Google blog. I found that I liked using Topix better than the other because It was real easy to search topics using keywords where in the google blog feeds you had to search for the topics the search all the blogs and subtopics. I would find several useful feeds in travel including the weather and traffic, along with road construction and road conditions. I used google search and internet explorer along with yahoo search for other newsfeeds.

The ways that i could use mashups in the classroom is to encourage the students that different objects and letters can lead the read anything. Any kind of Mashup mixed together can help the students create there own learning by having fun. In the personal era mash ups can be used just to have fun, by creating them, or to spice up their wedpages, or bedrooms. Being creative helps a person learn and express themselves in different ways.
I feel that sharing photos isn't a really good idea, i feel that the artist should reicieve the credit. Looking at pictures in a museum, on the internet increases the interest in learning, but i just think that sharing them shouldn't be allowed.
Thing #10
I like about ASS and News readers is that they give you access to many different things. It not only just gives you access to research but also movies that allow your projects to be better. Inside school you can use it as a web based program that allows you access for what you can use in you school. Inside the personal lives you are able to use it to communicate, and do any sort of research you need.

Thing #7

This photo is by eckiblue. It was found by browsing through the calender in September. It was also found using the keyword nature. The site is very easy to browse through but takes a while to browse the pictures because each photographer has so many pictures uploaded. For an example one photographer on the site had 512 photos with 119 of them being of Kuwait.
Thing # 6
The site that i chose was widgets. I chose this site because it has different tools that would help the students create their own webpages, blogs, and very useful information. Not only with creating the webpages it has many different movies and research tools to do with you tube, giving the students access to learn what they need to. The likes over this website is many and throughout playing with the tools i haven't found anything i don't like. The biggest like about the website that interested me was that it has differnt clocks, data charts, and just whatever you may need to customize you page how you may like it. I really think that this site would give many applications to the schools and the library, because it had both the research materials with you tube, but gives the students and teachers a way to express themseleves in appropriate ways.
Thing # 5
School 2.0 mean to me that the schools are going strictly to technological ways of teaching. Yes i do agree that technology is great to enhance the learning of the students, but one day what will happen to the teachers. Teachers will always be within the schools and will never probably be replaced by technology itself, but my reaction in reading these articles are more less students will pay more attention to the technology in front of them instead of the teacher one on one instruction. So basically what i am trying to say that School 2.0 is good within the schools but it really means to me that I'm worried it will one day take over the interaction between student to teacher. School 2.0 in the future will include lots of the blogging, technology learning, and more internet cites like myspace, and facebook, but within the school district.
My thoughts and reactions in reading these articles just completely amazed me how the world when i started school was focused on the teacher teaching things other than technology. When i first started school i never did anything with a computer, and today it seems like that's all school requires. By the time i finish school I'm on it everyday doing something for school. I think that the old fashion way of pen and paper has just lost the meaning.

Commenting on blogs helps create a better sense of community interaction. I feel this is because it gets the community, you family, and your friends involved in you life. Commenting helps other people to understand how your feeling when your upset over something.
Two other points from the reading that i felt like was important on commenting was that making meaningful comments make the author feel important or good about themselves, it lets them know that they are cared for. the other thing that i found important was that drawing attention to you blog is a good thing. It makes people want to know more about who you are, your likes or dislikes. Drawing attention to your self makes you feel important.
For my blogging i chose Randi Canto, Kemesha Fullman, Gregory Blaeuer, Troy Morris, Cyzz Walters. Those are the five from our class. And the two not is our class i chose Heidi Burns and Alexis Clemens. I chose these seven blogs because each one had there own unique way of connecting with how i feel in those particular areas. Each one of the blogs that i responded to i really liked what they had wrote about.
I chose to comment what i did on each of there posts, because i wanted them to know how much i really liked what they had written. Whether it was just about there avatar or there ideas for blogging within the classroom.

The ways that i could use a blog in the teacher education program is endless. The major reason i would use it is because you can use it as a messenger. Ask from help form you fellow classmates, how you might make something better, just to see how there day is going. Using the blog inside the teacher education program enhances the values or success, and making fellow friends as co-workers, mentors, etc.
The ways you could use the blogger in the future classroom is by letting the students have access to the technology. Having each student have a blog just within the grades allows the students to be able to learn the technology and to talk with there friends, The teachers can blog to their students and tell them what a good job they are doing, to keep up the good work, or just to see if everything is going well with school work. its just the little things that make a difference inside the classroom and out.

The problems i have had registering this blog has been amazing. The normal steps with the name address..etc were okay. My problems are remembering the password and getting my avatar onto the page. And as you can probably tell i haven't actually succeeded getting it on to the computer. I feel like a complete moron trying to figure out the simple stuff. I might figure it out, i might not. I really don't know...Overall, that has really been my only problem, although creating my avatar was quite the adventure. I had a lot of fun with it, now if only i can figure out how to recieve my avatar bak and put in on my Blogger.. Tricky Tricky

The thing that would be the easiest for me would be the set a goal and achieve it. I am the type of person that believes a challenge is the best taste for the mind. Setting the limits and different objectives to achieve a goal is giving yourself the gradual steps on achieving what you want. It’s like setting the goals to make an A in a class. The different objectives you might make would be to study every day, and longer periods, or to focus on the homework a little more, or even to set yourself homework even if you don’t have any just to get what you think you don’t get. It’s the little things that help me achieve a goal I set for myself.
The thing that would be the hardest for me would be to have the confidence to be a competent effective learner. I have always had extremely low self confidence in myself, it never has mattered if I feel I get what I’m learning or not, I seem to always second guess myself. I am currently trying to get better at attempting to gain the confidence for my learning, to stop second guessing myself and to start being more attentive and teaching what I learn to others.
